A Circle Case Study
The customer, Arf, is a regulated global transaction services platform that faced the challenge of cross-border payment companies needing to prefund accounts, which tied up an estimated $4 trillion in working capital globally. This practice limited growth and introduced financial risk for these companies. Vendor Circle provided its USDC stablecoin to address this liquidity problem.
Circle's solution involved Arf leveraging USDC to provide licensed payment companies with short-term, on-chain liquidity for real-time settlements, eliminating the need for prefunding. This resulted in Arf processing over $1.4 billion in USDC-based liquidity volume in its first year and achieving a 50x annual capital turnover, optimizing cash flow for its clients and fostering the adoption of blockchain technology in finance.
