Google worked with Circl to help about 20 London-based engineers build stronger leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills as they prepared to mentor new engineering apprentices. The team wanted to improve confidence, self-awareness, and the ability to manage and engage effectively with people who have different personalities and working styles.
Circl delivered a coaching and leadership development programme combining expert-led sessions with real-time, one-to-one coaching practice. Each engineer was matched with a Future Leader for weekly Zoom sessions, creating a two-way coaching experience that deepened learning and perspective-taking. The impact was strong: 82% of participants said their coaching confidence increased, 95% applied coaching skills at work, and managers reported better relationships, more collaborative teamwork, and stronger support for junior employees.
