Case Study: Toyota Financial Services achieves streamlined, paperless HR and faster absence management with CIPHR+

A CIPHR Case Study

Preview of the Toyota Financial Services Case Study

Toyota Financial Services - Customer Case Study

Toyota Financial Services, a global subsidiary of Toyota serving about 5.4 million customers across 30+ countries, needed to move away from spreadsheet‑centric HR processes and a Lotus Notes platform toward a scalable, cost‑effective SaaS solution. The HR team faced time‑consuming audits, paper waste, and the need to replicate absence-management workflows while demonstrating a clear business case to meet Toyota’s 2:1 benefit requirement for new investments.

They implemented CIPHR+ as a SaaS system (live Nov 2012) with CIPHR-managed data migration, Trusted Login, a Service Pack for ongoing support, and a creative engagement campaign (“Virtual Vera”) to drive user adoption. CIPHR+ centralized holiday and absence management, enabled Excel import/export for salary and review processes, added sickness/unpaid/compassionate leave, and cut administrative time and paper usage (around 200–220 absence forms handled more efficiently), delivering strong buy‑in, improved data integrity and measurable productivity gains.
