Case Study: Social Care Wales achieves streamlined HR and self-service automation with CIPHR

A CIPHR Case Study

Social Care Wale - Customer Case Study

Social Care Wales, the national regulator and improvement body for social care in Wales, experienced rapid growth from a small team to nearly 90 staff and found its entirely manual HR processes (spreadsheets, paper cards and time-consuming leave administration) unable to keep pace. Reporting was slow and error-prone, and HR spent disproportionate time policing basic administrative tasks rather than focusing on strategic people work.

After evaluating five suppliers, Social Care Wales implemented CIPHR’s SaaS HR system, with hands‑on data input, training and consultant-led configuration. Self-service, automated notifications, payroll integration and improved reporting have removed much of the administrative burden, increased data accuracy and business continuity, and freed HR to focus on strategic priorities while continuing to extend functionality (for example, mobile access and training management).
