Scholastic, the children’s book and education publisher, needed to modernise HR for its 340 UK employees across 11 sites while keeping administration lean — a small HR team of four required a more user-friendly, mobile-enabled system that would reduce manual tasks, streamline manager approvals and provide better reporting than their old on-premise platform.

In 2017 Scholastic migrated to CIPHR’s cloud-based HR solution, gaining mobile self-service, delegated manager approvals, and an expanded reporting suite (including historical data, absence, equality and gender-pay reports). With strong implementation support and training, the team quickly adopted the system, cut down manual admin, improved visibility for senior HR, and reported faster processes, easier training and high overall satisfaction.
