Nescot is a large further-education college on the South London–Surrey border with around 1,000 staff and a broad course offer (Ofsted-rated Outstanding in several areas). Faced with almost a 50% reduction in HR headcount and a high volume of recruitment, the college needed a technology-led solution to maintain services, improve communications and reduce administrative burden.
Nescot implemented CIPHR for automated notifications, a branded self-service portal (MyNescotHR), online recruitment and onboarding, plus payroll integration with Payrite. The changes saved about two days a week of HR chasing, reduced staff costs by £60,000, cut data errors, sped up job postings from weeks to minutes, improved consistency across departments and earned leadership approval — with plans to roll CIPHR out to its new international campus.
