Focus Group is an award-winning Sussex-based business solutions provider with over 500 staff and annual revenues above £60m. Its six-person HR team supports about 550 employees and was struggling with a legacy HR system that didn’t engage users, produced data inconsistencies, and lacked the reporting and integrations needed to support rapid growth (forecast to ~1,000 employees). The team therefore needed a user-friendly, scalable system with comprehensive reporting, payroll integration and a single source of truth.

Since becoming a CIPHR customer in September 2020, Focus Group has implemented CIPHR HR alongside CIPHR Payroll, iRecruit and Onboarding (with CIPHR Connect and Active Directory integration). The change delivered stronger user adoption (dashboard, widgets, organisation chart), a single accurate people-data source and smooth payroll integration, much more efficient onboarding (pre-start access and automated contracts), faster, more consistent recruitment workflows, and improved reporting capability for D&I, headcount and performance — saving time and improving data-driven HR decision-making.
