Social Care Wales (formerly the Care Council for Wales) is the public body that supports and improves care and support across Wales. During a period of rapid growth — from 14 to nearly 90 staff — its entirely manual HR processes (spreadsheets, color‑coded leave cards and ad‑hoc reporting) became unmanageable, leaving the HR team burdened by time‑consuming leave administration and error‑prone record‑keeping.
After evaluating five suppliers, Social Care Wales implemented CIPHR’s SaaS HR system with consultancy, training and unlimited support. Self‑service, automated Notifications, a Training module and a Paylink to payroll streamlined workflows, improved reporting and business continuity, reduced payroll errors and cut administrative load, freeing HR to focus on strategic work.
