A Cin7 Case Study
Tipsy Elves started as a niche maker of “ugly” holiday sweaters and—after a boost from Shark Tank—rapidly expanded into multiple holiday and novelty apparel lines. That growth sent orders from about 60,000 a year to as much as 60,000 a quarter, exposing problems in their manual, spreadsheet-driven processes: inventory mismatches with their 3PL, slow month-end valuations, rising cost variances and growing supplier complexity that threatened cash flow and margins.
Implementing Cin7 gave Tipsy Elves real-time inventory visibility, centralized purchase orders and ASNs, automated workflows, and an open-API connection between their ecommerce platform and 3PL. The result was much faster and more accurate inventory valuation, fewer manual reconciliations, quicker dispute resolution with the warehouse, and the operational control needed to scale without the previous stress and financial risk.
