A Cin7 Case Study
The Lip Bar, a Black woman-owned clean beauty brand founded by Melissa Butler, grew from a kitchen startup into a multi-channel business sold through Target, Walmart, CVS, its Detroit flagship, and online. As the company scaled, it struggled with clunky inventory management, poor visibility, manual data entry, and a lack of QuickBooks integration in its existing system, Fishbowl.
The Lip Bar implemented Cin7, with support from Hawk Cloud Consulting and Accountfully, to centralize inventory, automate workflows, improve reporting, and connect operations across locations and channels. After going live in 2024, Cin7 gave The Lip Bar real-time inventory visibility, easier SKU and order management, and self-service access for staff, saving about 2–3 workdays a week, or 16–24 hours of manual labor.
