Case Study: Gritomatic achieves scalable bundle management and US e‑commerce growth with Cin7

A Cin7 Case Study

Honing in on the US Market

Gritomatic (formerly RuChef) is a Russian family‑run business that grew from kitchenware into a specialist seller of guided knife‑sharpening systems and stones, operating across Russia and the US. As it expanded, the company faced inventory and fulfillment headaches: its previous platform (TradeGecko) aggregated stock across warehouses—making Russian inventory appear on the US Shopify store—and heavy reliance on Amazon FBA created customer‑service and scalability issues. Gritomatic also needed multi‑currency, multi‑warehouse support and strong bundle management to reflect its many product combinations.

After testing several platforms, Gritomatic implemented Cin7, which let them link only the US warehouse to Shopify, manage multiple fulfillment channels, and handle complex product bundles. The result: they moved much of fulfillment in‑house, grew their website share to about 60% of orders (with ~35% from Amazon and 5% from eBay), expanded bundles from roughly 5–10 to about 100 offerings, and gained better inventory control, cost‑tracking and confidence to scale.
