Girvin Marketing, founded by Jason Girvin and based in California, provides custom branded products and end-to-end services including design, sourcing, warehousing and fulfillment. While building a centralized vendor portal on Magento to let customers place orders and suppliers review them, Girvin struggled with time-consuming, manual purchasing—emails, catalogs and follow-ups—and needed a way to sync Magento’s custom fields (supplier IDs, invoice details) with QuickBooks to track supplier payables and financials.

Orderhive acted as middleware to automate Girvin’s workflow: it routed purchase requests to the correct suppliers, mapped custom data fields between Magento and QuickBooks (including handling-fee line items), and applied business logic to designate sales orders to appropriate suppliers.
