City of Longview - Customer Case Study

City of Longview, a Texas city with an aging Groupwise email environment, was looking for a more modern, cost-effective way to support its IT and departmental communication needs. Cima Solutions Group introduced the city to Google Apps for Government and worked with IT staff and city leaders to assess how the cloud-based platform could address their challenges.

Cima Solutions Group piloted the project in spring 2012 and helped build the business case for moving to the cloud. The solution delivered licensing and infrastructure reduction, improved employee productivity, and reduced systems management cycles, leading the City of Longview council to approve the move in June.
