Case Study: Knight Frank achieves portfolio-wide energy savings, improved tenant comfort and operational efficiency with CIM's PEAK building analytics

A CIM Case Study

Preview of the Knight Frank Case Study

Facilitating modern building management with Knight Frank

Knight Frank, a global commercial real estate and facilities management firm, needed better visibility and control across complex portfolios to reduce operational costs, manage multiple vendors and contractors, improve tenant thermal comfort, and boost sustainability. To address these challenges they engaged CIM and deployed CIM’s PEAK building analytics platform across 12 Australian sites (222,120 m²).

CIM’s PEAK platform continuously monitors building data (30,686 points with 5,105 rules) to detect faults and guide tuning, maintenance and CAPEX decisions; CIM’s engineering and customer success teams support implementation. The solution identified 2,294 faults, delivered AUD$204,372 in energy savings (≈957 tCO2) to date, cut peak demand by 23% at one site, and produced site-level wins such as 17% electricity and 42% gas reductions and a NABERS uplift from 3 to 4 stars at 309 George Street — with thermal comfort improvements up to 96% at top-performing buildings.
