The customer, Charlestown Square, a major shopping center in the NSW Hunter Region, faced challenges with energy wastage and equipment issues, including chilled water valve leaks. The vendor, CIM, implemented its PEAK building analytics platform and thermal energy metering to help the operations team identify these problems.
CIM's solution empowered the operations team to quickly discover and resolve major leaks, including fixing actuator damage during a temporary shutdown. This resulted in an immediate reduction in energy costs. The implementation led to a more than 20% reduction in annual energy consumption and put Charlestown Square on track to achieve a NABERS 5 star rating.
