Xanadu Consultancy, an Ireland-based software development and consultancy firm serving the online gaming sector, worked with Ciklum to improve its Agile processes and the accuracy of project estimations. The company’s teams lacked enough structure around Agile and Scrum, which was affecting development quality and time-to-market. It also wanted help configuring and using Atlassian JIRA more effectively.

Ciklum’s Project and Process Management Consulting team carried out an on-site analysis of Xanadu Consultancy’s processes and tools, then implemented a new estimation approach with Agile coaching for a pilot Scrum team. The engagement included Story Point estimation training, a Scrum LEGO simulation, and a project estimation workshop over 120 consulting hours from March 23 to April 22, 2016. The pilot team completed its first Scrum sprint, the product increment was released to production, and Xanadu Consultancy said it planned to continue working with Ciklum to roll out Agile practices across other Scrum teams.
