Global Company, a California-based provider of positioning technology, needed a proof of concept for an Agriculture Remote Positioning System that would let farmers receive sensor-based feedback and remotely control field machines. Ciklum was brought in to help build a solution that could work across different hardware platforms and simplify task programming for end users.

Ciklum’s R&D Engineering team delivered a web-based drag-and-drop IDE that connected functional blocks and gave farmers access to machine data through web and mobile interfaces. The PoC showed the concept was feasible without a large development effort, and Ciklum’s solution enabled farmers to coordinate machines of different sizes, types, and manufacturers, even offline, using a JSON-based visual programming language integrated across ECU, mobile, and web environments.
