Skytech Control migrates 55+ legacy apps to Azure with CIGen

Skytech Control, an eCommerce company based in Norway, faced the challenge of migrating over 55 complex legacy applications from a single Azure VM to a more scalable and maintainable cloud-native architecture on Azure. They partnered with CIGen to achieve this transition with minimal code refactoring and to implement a CI/CD pipeline, all while operating under tight time constraints and a lack of documentation.

CIGen successfully migrated Skytech Control's platform to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), utilizing Azure File Share and Blob Storage to minimize refactoring. The solution included containerization, a centralized API gateway, and automated infrastructure provisioning. The results significantly enhanced system availability and scalability, positioned the client for expansion into six new markets, and reduced their technical debt, all while supporting 80,000 active users.
