How CIENCE Helped Grow Segment's System Integrations

Segment, the customer data infrastructure used by 19,000+ companies, needed to quickly scale the number of system integrations in its catalog to support rapid growth ahead of a Series D round. To recruit integration partners from the MarTech 5000 and similar companies, Segment hired CIENCE, Inc. to provide a Sales Development Rep Team (SDRT) to run focused outbound marketing and sales outreach and convert prospects into early-stage partners.

CIENCE, Inc. deployed a dedicated SDR, researcher, content writer, strategist and CSM to execute hyper-targeted, personalized email campaigns, iterate the ICP, and expand outreach across the U.S. and Europe. The program imported 3,000+ contacts, sent ~12,000 emails (about 850/week) with >45% open and >6% reply rates, produced 140+ new opportunities and consistently delivered 9–10 Select partner sign-ups per week—exceeding Segment’s benchmarks.
