Uniti Fiber quadruples network speed to 400 Gb/s with Ciena

Uniti Fiber, a leading communications infrastructure provider, sought to upgrade its network to a highly efficient converged IP/optical infrastructure and dramatically increase its speed. To meet this challenge, the company selected Ciena's WaveLogic 5 Nano (WL5n) PKT-MAX coherent pluggable transceivers for deployment in its existing routers.

The WL5n transceivers provided extended reach, greater flexibility, and reduced power consumption.
