Netalis supports increasing bandwidth demands with Ciena’s XGS-PON

Netalis, an operator in eastern France, faced increasing bandwidth demands from its customers and sought to transform its network to support high-speed applications. To address this challenge, Netalis turned to vendor Ciena for a solution.

Ciena implemented its Universal Aggregation solution, which included the 5164 router and XGS-PON pluggables. This allowed Netalis to cost-effectively deliver new dedicated fiber access services with speeds up to 10Gb/s on a converged infrastructure, reducing their physical footprint. The future-proof network is also ready for even higher speeds, enabling Netalis to launch new high-speed Ethernet transport services for operators.
