MXT Holdings expands 400G connectivity with Ciena

MXT Holdings, a leading telecommunications infrastructure company in Mexico, faced escalating traffic demands on its network driven by 5G and cloud applications. To improve connectivity and create a more adaptive network, MXT turned to vendor Ciena and its coherent routing solution.

Ciena implemented a solution using its 5164 Router and 8114 Coherent Aggregation Router with WaveLogic 5 Nano technology. This allowed MXT to deploy less hardware, saving on capex and opex, while creating a network that is more resilient, reliable, and scalable. The upgrade enables MXT to offer up to 400G connectivity and provides the operational efficiency to better support its customers' digital experiences.
