LOGIX Fiber Networks, the largest independent fiber provider in Texas, faced the challenge of meeting rapidly growing network demand driven by cloud and streaming services. To support key customer segments like finance and healthcare, they needed to offer new, high-capacity 10G and 100G wavelength services across their extensive network in the Texas Triangle. The company engaged vendor Ciena to implement a solution.

Ciena provided its 6500 flexible optical platform powered by WaveLogic Ai coherent optics, which allowed LOGIX to scale its network on demand to handle unpredictable traffic. Ciena Services also assisted with integrating two separate networks from a previous acquisition, streamlining operations and resulting in significant efficiencies and cost savings. With Ciena's technology, LOGIX successfully rolled out its 100G wavelength service, maximizing bandwidth efficiency and gaining a competitive advantage by supporting cloud operators and enabling 5G wireless backhaul.
