Ciena implemented its Virtualized Edge Solution, which utilized the 3926 Platform to interconnect sensors and devices throughout the hospital. This system centralized collected data and connected to a private cloud. The solution allowed hospital staff to track patient pathways in real-time via smartphone notifications and smart lights, preventing contact and improving safety. This collaboration between humans and technology helped enhance coordination and patient care.
