The customer, Kassel Regional Council, faced a time-consuming and error-prone manual process for checking the labeling compliance of products under the Explosives Act. To address this challenge in their market surveillance, they partnered with vendor CIB Group to implement a pilot project utilizing AI-driven automation.

CIB Group provided a low-code process platform, enhanced with AI modules for text and image recognition, which was installed on employee cell phones. The solution automated the capture and analysis of product photos, intelligently extracting text and verifying the presence of required symbols. This allowed the Kassel Regional Council to achieve faster turnaround times, eliminate media discontinuities, reduce rework, and ensure consistently reliable test quality. The successful pilot is now being considered for expansion to other regional councils.
