L'Oreal Asks You to Take the Drakkar Challenge With Cam Newton

L’Oréal launched a fully digital campaign to promote the new Drakkar Essence cologne, centered on the “Take the Drakkar Challenge” and featuring Cam Newton. The brand wanted to drive conversation and participation around Drakkar Noir/Drakkar Essence, and partnered with Chute to create an interactive ad and microsite that would encourage users to upload photos, vote, and share content.

Chute delivered a social experience that let fans join the challenge through user-generated photos and engagement features on the microsite and ad. The campaign also added a philanthropic hook, with L’Oréal donating $5 to the Cam Newton Foundation for every photo shared, helping boost participation and social buzz around the launch.
