A Chronus Case Study
Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, a collection of wineries across Washington, Oregon, California and beyond, needed a way to break down departmental and geographic silos and capture “tribal” knowledge so employees from cellar to marketing could connect and advance. With participants spread across many estates and limited admin bandwidth, the challenge was to establish a structured, scalable mentoring program that automated matching, guided inexperienced mentors/mentees, tracked interactions, and didn’t add administrative overhead.
Ste. Michelle implemented Chronus mentoring software—using automated onboarding, MatchIQ matching, guided connection plans, robust profiles and reporting—to provide structure and reduce manual work. In 18 months the program grew from a 70-person pilot to more than 250 participants across 70 estates, achieving 93% satisfaction and strong goal attainment, while increasing engagement, knowledge sharing and cross-estate collaboration.
