Daimler Trucks Reinvents Corporate Mentoring Program

Daimler Trucks North America, the largest heavy-duty truck manufacturer in North America, faced a failing corporate mentoring program: its original spreadsheet- and social-software–based approach lacked structure, had low adoption outside headquarters, and consumed high administrative effort. Leadership wanted a scalable, strategic program to support career development, leadership initiatives, and a culture of learning.

Daimler replaced the old system with Chronus, implementing a branded, cloud-based, self-enrolling and self-matching platform with SSO, program milestones, and health reports. The solution rolled out to 4,000 office-based employees across North America, secured executive sponsorship, cut administrative time, increased participation, and enabled new mentoring tracks—boosting employee engagement, learning, and satisfaction.
