Northeast Treatment Centers (NET), a Philadelphia-based non-profit with 800+ staff that provides behavioral health services, was struggling with an outdated paper-based expense and invoice process that handled roughly 400 expense reports and 800 invoices per month. Manual workflows, batch-imported invoices that couldn’t be approved individually, and time-consuming mileage calculations created inefficiencies, filing burdens, payment risk (including potential duplicate payments) and limited visibility into spend.
NET implemented Chrome River’s expense and invoice solution to centralize transactions, attach invoice images, automate routing and approvals, integrate credit-card data, and auto-calculate mileage. The platform reduced processing time and storage needs, sped up payments and reimbursements, improved reconciliation and month-end billing, strengthened internal controls, and provided analytics to surface opportunities for greater spend efficiency.
