Brick and Mortar launches Scotland’s first DCI-compliant grading theatre with Christie Digital

Brick and Mortar, a new high-tech boutique post-production studio in Scotland, faced the challenge of establishing Scotland's first DCI-compliant grading theatre to provide filmmakers with a high-end alternative to London-based facilities. To achieve this, they required a trusted and technically advanced cinema projection solution. They selected Christie Digital and its CP4420-Xe projector.

Christie Digital implemented its CP4420-Xe cinema projector equipped with a specialized 2.0KW LB Xenolite lamp and a Premium High Contrast Zoom lens, which was perfectly suited for the color grading environment. The result was Scotland's only dual-purpose grading and mixing suite, which immediately proved successful by attracting major clients. Within months of opening, Brick and Mortar was working on nine feature films and several high-profile commercials, firmly establishing Scotland as a viable center for post-production.
