Flexport advances air freight decarbonization with Chooose, cutting SAF access to a single click and supporting under 1% global jet fuel adoption

Flexport, a technology-driven logistics platform, sought a practical way to help its air freight customers address their Scope 3 emissions and support the decarbonization of aviation by increasing accessibility to sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). They partnered with the vendor CHOOOSE to integrate a solution for purchasing SAF environmental attributes.

The solution implemented by CHOOOSE was a seamless in-app experience within the Flexport Platform, using a book and claim chain of custody model. This allowed Flexport's customers, like the outdoor brand Cotopaxi, to easily purchase and claim the emissions benefits of SAF. The results included strong customer adoption and the initiative was formally recognized by the White House as a leading example of private sector innovation in aviation decarbonization.
