Bond Timber upgrades to Magento 2.4.6 and launches a PWA with Chilliapple

The customer, Bond Timber, a family-run timber merchant based in Cornwall, faced a challenge after closing its retail store to go fully digital. They needed to migrate from their existing Magento 2 site to a more advanced platform that could support business scaling and provide critical offline functionality for customers in remote areas with poor internet connectivity. They partnered with the vendor, Chilliapple, to address this.

Chilliapple's solution involved upgrading Bond Timber's website to Magento 2.4.6 and developing a bespoke Progressive Web Application (PWA). This provided an app-like experience with fast loading, seamless navigation, and the essential ability to function offline. The results included a successful migration to a new server, resolution of technical bugs, and an enhanced digital foundation.
