Balcia, a digital-first insurance provider, faced the challenge of creating an innovative mobile app to serve as the sole channel for their technically advanced, young target audience to purchase insurance and submit claims, aiming to minimize human interaction and speed up processes. Chili Labs was engaged to provide research, design system creation, UI/UX design, and Flutter development to build this application from scratch.

Chili Labs implemented a solution featuring a non-standard design with bright colors and a clear layout, incorporating a dark/light theme and accessibility-focused elements. The developed Flutter app streamlined the user experience, allowing for information to be pre-filled to significantly accelerate claims submission and compensation processing. The vendor created a reusable design system to ensure future consistency and easier maintenance of the digital product.
