Vital4 and Chetu: Disrupting the Conventional Background Screening Climate

Chetu partnered with Vital4, a provider of data-driven background screening and KYC software, to assist during a critical development gap. Vital4 was in the middle of creating a new Politically Exposed Person (PEP) screening product but faced a standstill after downsizing their internal development team. Their challenge was to continue enhancing the existing codebase and complete this new functionality without delay.

Chetu engineers were brought in to build the new PEP functionality, which involved extracting and analyzing data from media articles to create and enrich political profiles. They developed a console application with role-based security and integrated a third-party text analytics tool as specified. While a faulty third-party plugin ultimately required replacement by the client, Chetu successfully delivered a fully functional final source code. The engagement demonstrated Chetu's model of scalable, short-term support, perfectly filling the client's resource gap until their internal team was rebuilt.
