A Chetu Case Study

Preview of the Secondary Ticketing Company Case Study

Ticket Vendor Recruits Chetu to Reprogram Data Scraping Software

The secondary ticketing company needed to optimize its existing .NET-based data scraping tool, known as Gatherer Service, to more efficiently acquire tickets from primary vendors. The application required intensive maintenance, suffered from performance issues, and lacked a system to track its success rates, leading to lost operational hours and inefficiencies. They recruited Chetu to reprogram and enhance the software.

Chetu reprogrammed the application using technologies including Visual Studio, MongoDB, and the Chromium CefSharp library. The solution involved eliminating bugs, implementing a new C# protocol for administrators to track and export data, and critically, blocking excess scripts to dramatically increase the scraping speed. As a result of Chetu's intervention, the Gatherer Service runs much smoother and faster, allowing the client to operate more efficiently and scrape tickets at a significantly higher rate.
