ADEA Modernizes Existing Web App With Data Management

American Dental Education Association (ADEA), an organization representing academic dentistry, needed to modernize its existing Ruby on Rails web app and improve how it managed and presented information about dental institutions. ADEA worked with Chetu to enhance the Dental School Explorer tool with better data management, reporting, and user-friendly features for students and administrators.

Chetu updated the application using Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Linux, and Git, adding tools for school comparisons, search and filters, note-taking, calendar functionality, file import/export, daily database backups, and admin controls for yearly updates. The improved platform now supports 76 U.S. and Canadian dental schools, gives students real-time access to school details, and includes a review workflow to help ensure accurate information before changes go live.
