Act's Staff Augmentation Project Yields Powerful UX for Roof Estimating Software

Advanced Claims Technologies (ACT) provides engineering and drafting services for insurance adjusters and roofing contractors using geotagged aerial photos. ACT needed help refining its in-house Rapid Roof Squares insurance claims application because users were experiencing output errors, screen-capture issues, and inconsistent PDF report generation across desktop and mobile devices. To address these challenges, ACT engaged Chetu for staff augmentation and support on the web app, UI/UX, and API development.

Chetu optimized ACT’s screen capture and reporting workflow, improved drag-and-drop behavior across screen sizes, enabled higher-DPI screen captures, generated PDF reports, integrated Google Maps and depot data, and connected the app to ACT’s Storm Report and ACT API systems. The result was a more seamless estimate-to-report process with improved usability and more reliable output, helping users quickly generate and share roof estimates with greater accuracy and fewer errors.
