Budapest Film Zrt migrates 6 cinemas to Drupal 8 with Cheppers

Budapest Film Zrt, the largest cinema operator in Budapest, approached vendor Cheppers with the initial challenge of migrating their Drupal 7 websites to Drupal 8. During discussions, the project expanded to include a full UX/UI redesign to address significant usability issues across their network of art cinema sites.

Cheppers conducted a UX diagnosis and then executed a comprehensive redesign, which included restructuring the main navigation, improving the search functionality, and optimizing the user journey for ticket purchases. The vendor implemented these changes on the new Drupal 8 platform, integrating a REACT.js-based application for cinema and screening searches. This hybrid solution successfully migrated the sites and resulted in a spectacular, user-friendly experience with greatly improved usability.
