MOVE launches Brazil’s first EV charging app MVP by August 2021 with Cheesecake Labs

MOVE, Brazil's first electric vehicle charging management platform, approached Cheesecake Labs needing mobile apps to manage growing demand. Their challenge was to create a digital solution connecting electric car drivers with charging station owners across the country, ensuring drivers had accessible charging and giving station owners control.

Cheesecake Labs used React Native to develop the iOS and Android apps, focusing on a simple, intelligent user experience. A key part of their solution was integrating the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP 1.6) to enable real-time communication between stations and the backend. The result was a successful MVP ready for market, which helped MOVE secure investment from a Fortune 500 energy company's startup program, paving the way for a better electric vehicle experience in Brazil.
