Sizewell C launches offline-ready extranet PWA with Cheddar Creative

Sizewell C required a comprehensive extranet platform for its workers and contracting partners involved in the massive construction project. The challenge was to create an inclusive, accessible tool that could provide critical information, from bus timetables to the latest news, and function reliably for users on smartphones in the field, often without data connectivity. Cheddar Creative was engaged to design and build this solution.

Cheddar Creative designed and built the Team Sizewell C extranet as a Progressive Web App (PWA). The solution enabled offline browsing of cached pages and featured push notifications for alerts. It integrated with the main Sizewell C website to avoid content duplication and included tools for user management, polls, and tracking user search terms. The ambitious project was delivered on time and on budget, impressing stakeholders and providing a robust, scalable platform for the project's workforce.
