YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago Continues Reputation of Reliability with Check Point Connectra

The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, a large nonprofit operating 65 locations and more than 100 extension sites that serve hundreds of thousands annually, needed a secure, reliable way to connect remote childcare and program sites (many hosted in churches and schools) and support a growing number of telecommuting employees — all with a very small IT staff.

Working with RKON, the YMCA deployed Check Point Connectra SSL VPN after a successful pilot, gaining centralized management, simplified deployment, and strong endpoint and intrusion protection. The solution improved remote access reliability, protected confidential information, reduced client‑management overhead for the support team, and positioned the organization to expand into virtualization and additional Check Point security products.
