A Check Point Software Case Study
Visory, a Chesterfield, Missouri–based IT services firm (51–200 employees) serving RIAs and other organizations, provides managed IT, hosting and security to prevent costly downtime. Their clients—many using SaaS apps—were moving away from hosted virtual desktops because of poor VDI performance, high hosting costs and concerns about employees accessing systems from personal devices; Visory needed a secure, easy-to-use alternative that would prevent unauthorized BYOD access while maintaining strong performance.
Visory piloted and deployed Check Point Harmony SASE (Secure the Workspace), using features like device posture checks, web and DNS filtering and a secure access gateway to ensure only compliant, company-owned devices connect (an example flagged an unfinished BitLocker encryption). The rollout eliminated many VDIs, lowered hosting and support costs, reduced ticket volume, improved application performance and client satisfaction, and made those engagements more profitable.
