Travelex Secures Remote Endpoints with UTM-1 Edge

Travelex, the world’s leading non‑bank foreign exchange and international payments specialist, operates a highly distributed retail network across North America with hundreds of workstations in many branch locations. The IT team faced unsecured dial‑up connections at branches, widely varying link speeds and no reliable way to ensure up‑to‑date antivirus signatures or to push security patches, creating operational inefficiencies and exposure to malware.

To address this, Travelex rolled out Check Point UTM‑1 Edge appliances (an initial order of 120+ units) with integrator Conexys, enabling plug‑and‑play branch installs and centralized security management. The deployment—managed from Toronto and monitored with SmartLSM—cut support requests, allowed one‑click policy and patch distribution, improved network visibility and overall security posture, and delivered a clear ROI; Travelex later refreshed and expanded the UTM‑1 Edge rollout.
