Telecom Plus (Utility Warehouse), a leading UK provider of telecom and utility services, needed to protect its network from the risk of data theft via USB and other removable media while supporting a hot‑desking and remote workforce. Banning devices would hurt flexibility and morale, so the IT team sought a way to control and monitor removable‑media use without restricting employees’ ability to carry and access large amounts of data.
