Swiss IT service provider uses Check Point to protect new data centers and maintain strict customer SLAs

Wagner AG, a Swiss IT service provider offering managed IT and consultancy to corporate customers, planned two new data centers 120 km apart to support growth, redundancy and strict SLAs. To protect these sites and ensure business continuity while flexibly distributing customer loads, the company needed clustered, data-center-grade firewalls, stronger threat prevention, and consolidated visibility and reporting across locations.

Wagner deployed Check Point Next Generation Security Gateway with R80.10 Security Management, giving advanced threat prevention (including SSL inspection), centralized policy control, clustering and automation via APIs. The rollout—completed smoothly with a partner—now supports about 50 customers (≈3,000 users and 5,000 firewall objects), allows secure load balancing between sites with preserved latency and redundancy, simplifies multi-user policy administration, and delivered positive customer feedback and lower TCO; Wagner plans to add Check Point SandBlast for further malware protection.
