Silverton Casino, a Las Vegas hospitality and gaming property with 300 rooms, restaurants and more than 2,000 slot machines, needed to protect sensitive customer and corporate data, maintain strict PCI compliance, block external threats and safeguard critical systems while efficiently managing a complex network with a small IT staff.

To meet those needs Silverton deployed a Check Point UTM-1 576 appliance using the Software Blade Architecture (Firewall, IPS and IPsec VPN). The integrated solution consolidated multiple security functions on a single device, delivered multi-layered threat protection and PCI-compliant IPS, provided secure remote access for IT and vendors, and simplified management—reducing administrative overhead while reliably protecting the casino’s network.
