A Check Point Software Case Study
NHS Blood and Transplant, part of the NHS that collects and processes about 2.1 million donations a year, needed to strengthen protection of confidential patient and research data across 900 laptops and 500 desktops to meet new UK government data-security directives. Although they already used Check Point Integrity for endpoint protection, they required full-disk encryption, granular port control and an easy-to-manage solution that would not burden users or IT staff.
They deployed Check Point Endpoint Security—a single-agent platform providing full-disk encryption, USB/port protection, antivirus and a VPN for secure remote access—managed centrally from one console. The rollout was seamless and transparent to users: staff were issued encrypted USB drives while other removable media were blocked, administrators gained real-time reporting and policy control, and the organization achieved stronger data protection, regulatory compliance, reduced IT support overhead and improved secure remote working.
