Koch Media Levels Up Security to Protect Intellectual Property Against Attackers

Koch Media (Deep Silver), a major European and North American publisher of games, movies and software, faced escalating risk to its intellectual property as game code and large media files moved between more than 25 locations and external partners. Manual firewall management, frequent rule changes, and growing malware—especially zero‑day threats that antivirus missed—left development assets exposed and IT teams stretched by time‑consuming, error‑prone processes.

Koch Media deployed Check Point SandBlast Zero‑Day Protection (complementing its existing NGTP) for real‑time sandboxing, threat extraction, application control and centralized management via SmartEvent. The solution blocked previously unseen threats, enforced fine‑grained access policies to protect code, centralized and automated administration across all sites, and saved significant IT time while delivering consistent end‑to‑end protection.
