A Check Point Software Case Study
The Israeli Ministry of Environmental Protection, a Jerusalem-based government agency of about 800 employees, struggled with unreliable connectivity and limited redundancy across 13 remote sites. With sensitive data to protect and growing demand for real-time collaboration (especially video conferencing), the Ministry needed a security-centric SD-WAN that would deliver nonstop internet and cloud access without costly infrastructure upgrades.
By activating Check Point Quantum SD-WAN on its existing Quantum gateways and migrating management to the cloud-based Infinity Portal, the Ministry gained multi-ISP failover, lower latency, better bandwidth utilization for critical apps, centralized monitoring and stronger threat prevention—without significant new hardware spend. The deployment restored uninterrupted operations across all 13 sites, improved user experience and resiliency, and simplified administration while leveraging the Ministry’s existing Check Point appliance footprint.
