How the Marple Newtown District Gained Full Visibility of Its Network, Endpoints and Email Servers

Marple Newtown School District is a K-12 public district in southeastern Pennsylvania serving about 3,700 students and 1,000 employees. Facing a sharp rise in cyberattacks and ransomware targeting education, the district needed to better protect students’, staff and operational data while keeping security manageable for a small IT team.

The district implemented a unified Check Point stack—including Horizon Network Detection and Response, Harmony Email & Collaboration, Quantum Security Gateways with SandBlast, and Harmony Endpoint—to gain 360° visibility and prevention. Within hours Horizon discovered and enabled removal of a previously invisible rogue server, phishing attacks dropped, endpoints and email were sanitized of threats, and the IT team achieved automated, more efficient workflows with fewer false positives and stronger overall confidence.
